Decatur, Ga., resident wins Tiger Woods' Buick Lucerne, first in season-long campaign

Decatur, Ga. - When Tiger Woods secured a victory at the 2006 Buick Invitational recently, he also ensured that one lucky person had won his personal courtesy car - a custom 2006 Buick Lucerne sedan.

Ira Jacobs, 51, of Decatur, Ga. was selected at random among more than 133,000 registrants at Buick.com to win Tiger's Buick Lucerne CXS. Jacobs, who picked up Tiger's Lucerne today at Royal Buick in Decatur, is the first winner of Buick's season-long "Tiger Wins, You Could Win" campaign.

Every time Tiger wins a PGA tournament in 2006, Buick selects one name at random from all those who registered for that tournament at www.buick.com to win Tiger's Lucerne courtesy car. The "Tiger Wins, You Could Win" campaign debuted recently at the 2006 Buick Invitational in La Jolla, Calif. and concludes at the PGA Championship in August.

"My wife and I were watching the Buick Invitational and she saw the commercial and said 'You should enter the tournament'," explained Jacobs. The former Virgin Islands resident and fan of Tiger continued, "I felt like I may have been the last person to enter. The Lucerne is such a beautiful vehicle."

The up-level Lucerne CXS Jacobs now owns features a black exterior and cashmere leather interior, a standard 275 horsepower 4.6L Northstar V-8 engine, a wood steering wheel and shift knob, 18-inch chrome wheels with a 10-spoke design, heated washer fluid, heated and cooled seats, Magnetic Ride Control, six standard air bags, a unique exhaust tip, spoiler and more. Tiger is autographing a plaque for the vehicle's interior.

"No amount of money can buy this Lucerne, and only Buick can give consumers the chance to own the very car that Tiger drove," said Buick Golf Manager Larry Peck. "What a fantastic opportunity for Mr. Jacob's to own a piece of golf history."

Consumers must register each week Tiger plays for a chance to win that tournament's Lucerne. Tiger will compete this week at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Consumers can register now at www.buick.com to win Tiger's courtesy Buick Lucerne. There, they'll find complete details about the campaign, as well as fun facts and trivia about Tiger, the tournament and the all-new Buick Lucerne.

If Tiger doesn't finish first in each tournament he competes, Buick will send one person and a guest from those who registered for that tournament on an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles for the "Tiger Wins, You Could Win" grand finale. They will enjoy luxury accommodations, rounds of golf and an exclusive clinic hosted by Tiger. The event finishes with a closest-to-the-pin contest - in front of Tiger - for a final Lucerne.

Tiger's 2006 Buick Invitational victory was the fourth time in 10 years that he won in his first PGA TOUR event of the year, and he became the first four-time winner at the Buick Invitational. It is his 47th career win on TOUR.
